Open skate day 30 April

Ever heard about ‘roller derby’? Yes, awesome! No, but super curious about the sport? Then you’re at the right address!

We, Roller Derby League GO-GO Gent, are organizing an *Open Skate Day* on sunday, 30th of April. Do you like old skool quad skating, or always wanted to try it? Do you see yourself as a future ref, coach or line-up? Then our Open Skate Day is the perfect event for you! Old, young, in between, male, female, inbetween ( 😉 ), tall, small, lazy, sporty, EVERYONE is welcome!

And now for the practical part, what do we actually need for this day? Well, if you own any of these things, make sure to bring them with you:
– Roller skates
– Helmet
– Knee pads
– Elbow pads
– Wrist guards

Even though we aren’t going to do crazy stuff, we don’t want to send you home bruised. If you don’t own any of these things, don’t panic! Bring what you have and let us know whatever you still need, you can rent it from us for just 5€.

> teach you the basics of roller skating

BEFORE thursday 27th April, we would like to receive your application. We recommend to sign up as soon as possible, if you want to rent gear as well, because we can only bring what we’ve got. Gone = gone.

Send an email to traininggogogent@gmail.com with your name, email and all the info of the people you want to bring with you. Please state clearly what you want/need to rent for every participant, and which sizes they’ve got (shoe size for the skates, S M or L for the helmet and pads).

As said before, this event is open and free for everyone!
Please bring cash for gear costs if you want to rent anything =)
