#404 JerOminous

1. When and how did you get started in derby?
Seeing derby through some Facebook friends lit the flame, a clinic made it burn as a fire, and I started freewheel burning in September 2010.

2. What’s been your favourite derby moment?
I knew we were doing a really good job in our Officials team when I was headreffin’ an official bout for the first time. Great feeling. Overall GO-GO Gent is much more than hard work and sports. It’s a big part of my life.

3. Who are your derby heroes?
I look up to all professional, sportsmanlike skaters and officials.

4. How did you pick your derby name?
The darkness is my inspiration.

5. What’s your worst injury?
None for now, but having an infected muscle in my ankle which held me from skating was terrible.

6. What advice would you give to someone who would like to play derby?
If you are 100% committed to the sport: just do it.

7. If I wasn’t playing derby, I’d be…
still being myself but with a lot less friends.

8. One word to describe GO-GO Gent
Mindblowing.

Mister Ominous, born from the Eastern Pagan Stellar Winds, has been officiating since september 2010 and thus he is the most ancient Referee of the team. Still from time to time he is capable of changing the positions of air and ground, and the other way around. Starting out as a Outside Pack Referee, he has proven valuable in all positions, even as NSO and Heading games. If you want to hire JerOminous on his Riedell Skates shod with Presto wheels and Arius plates, be sure to provide Meat, Metal and some Bloody Rock!
